DID YOU KNOW? Maggi goreng in Malaysia is yellow, and maggi goreng in Singapore is RED 😛
I worked and lived in KL for a number of years before coming to Singapore, so needless to say I’ve been used to the Malaysian version of the dish.
Imagine my confusion the very first time I ordered and saw Singaporean-style maggi goreng?! 😆 (I could be wrong but I think they use tomato sauce or some special red sauce which makes it look like this)
Don’t get me wrong—they are equally good! I just have a slight preference for the plain one so from then on, I always ask the mamak staff for “maggi goreng yellow” or “maggi goreng no red sauce”.
HAHAHA anyways… red or yellow, it’s MAGGI GORENG FOREVER 🫶
